Moldova backed in process of integration in value added chains

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - Economics and Infrastructure Minister Anatol Usatii today participated in an event titled, Eastern Partnership – integration in value added chains, organized under the auspices of the German presidency of the Council of the European Union. The delegates expressed openness to help Moldova in strengthening the economic relations with EU and continuation of the efficient dialogue for the country’s integration in the international value chains.    

At the forum, the economics minister said that companies able to export complex finished products worked in diverse branches of the Moldova’s industry. ‘’Native industrial companies have managed to make performance in a competitive and professional way, proved especially in the previous years by the volume of exports to EU countries, such as Romania, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, Belgium, etc. We are in continuous growth and we have a positive appreciation of the Moldovan products and services,’’ Anatol Usatii said.   

Also, the minister said the Moldovan government encouraged the business environment to participate in B2B events, to benefit from the support of the Investments Agency and Organization for Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises Sector Development (ODIMM), in order to interact with local and international companies for the integration in the European value chains.   

Attending the today’s event were EU Ambassador to Moldova Peter Michalko, Ambassador of Germany to Moldova Angela Ganninger, Ambassador of Moldova to Germany Oleg Serebrian, as well as representatives of the German Agency for International Cooperation, Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, companies from the automotive sector of Moldova and Romania. The participants expressed openness to help Moldova in consolidating the economic ties with the European Union and continuing the efficient dialogue for the country’s integration in the international value chains.
