ADR Nord, Institute of Ecology to work together to improve environmental factors in region

Chisinau, 18 December /MOLDPRES/- The North Regional Development Agency (ADR) and the Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova signed yesterday a Memorandum of Cooperation of academia and representatives of regional public institutions to improve the quality of life and environmental factors in the Northern Development Region of the Republic of Moldova.

ADR Nord and the Institute of Ecology started cooperation in November 2013, with the signing of a cooperation agreement. Thus, through the new Memorandum of Cooperation, the two institutions laid the foundations for a new stage of cooperation.

The signatory parties to the Memorandum set themselves three objectives: strengthening institutional capacity; co-participation in the elaboration and implementation of public policies at regional level in the environmental field; implementation of fundamental research aimed at the environment.

ADR Nord director Maria Prisacari said that the memorandum will strengthen institutional capacities, co-participation in elaboration and implementation of public policies at regional level in ecology and the implementation of fundamental environmental research.
