Moldovan Constitutional Court suspends action of law abrogating ''one-billion law''

Chisinau, 22 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Constitutional Court (CCM) today suspended the law, through which the so-called ‘’one-billion law’’ was abrogated. The High Court accepted the appeal by MPs Andrian Candu and Vladimir Cebotari on the verification of the constitutionality of the law No 230 from 16 December 2020 and suspended its action.

CCM informed that today it had considered and allowed an application on suspension of the action of the Law No 230 from 16 December 2020 for the abrogation of the Law No 235 from 3 October 2016 on the issuance of payment obligations coming from the state guarantees No 807 from 17 November 2014 and No 101 from 1 April 2015.

The application was submitted by lawmakers Andrian Candu and Vladimir Cebotari within the notification No 212a/2020.
