About 70 businesses created by Moldovan migrants to receive non-refundable financing

Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/ - Sixty six companies from 24 districts of Moldova today were selected for non-refundable financing by the committee on supervision of the Programme on Attraction of Remittances to Economy (PARE 1+1). The winning enterprises will benefit from grants worth up to 250,000 lei each, and will create over 200 jobs.  

The companies selected for financing will develop business in such fields as: cultivation of cereals and vine, melons, flowers, aromatic plants, setting up of plantations of box thorn, walnut orchards, bee keeping, breeding of animals and poultry. At the same time, 22 businesses work in the sector of providing services: recreation and tourism, vehicles’ repair, carriage of passengers and goods, bodily embellishment and stomatology. Five enterprises work in the processing industry, with activities in the production of glasses, food products and beer, bread and pastry products, manufacture of wood articles.  

As many as 121 businesses worth about 30 million lei have been financed during this year, which will favour investments worth 77 million lei in the economy.

„PARE 1+1” is a programme implemented by the Organization for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Sector Development (ODIMM) in the last ten years, financed from the state budget and supplemented from European Union’s funds. So far, 3,100 people have been registered at the programme and 2,611 beneficiaries have been trained. Access to non-refundable financing worth 348.68 million lei  has been facilitated through the PARE 1+1. The overall value of the investments planned in the economy amounts to about 1,041.88 million lei; thus, each Moldovan leu provided as grant generates 3 lei as investments in the economy.
