Moldovan president, acting PM discuss country's problems

Chisinau, 24 December /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a meeting with acting Prime Minister Ion Chicu, during which the problems faced by Moldova were discussed, the presidential press service has reported.
The head of state said that the government’s resignation was a necessary step for the parliament’s dissolution and launch of snap parliamentary elections.
„The citizens want a representative parliament, which is to solve the country’s problems,’’ a press release by the Presidency reads.
Maia Sandu will invite the parliamentary factions to consultations starting from 28 December.
