Chisinau, 31 December /MOLDPRES/ - Fine artist, Chisinau resident Mark Verlan, who in 2019 exhibited at the Bucharest-based Galeria Posibilă (Possible Gallery) (along with the another unconventional artist, Ghenadie Popescu) gets back in the attention of Romanian art lovers through his exhibition in ‘’virtual reality’’, which as of today can be watched on the platform TheOpen-Art.com, dedicated to this type of exhibitions.

The exhibition VR comprises 27 works of the fine artist and represents a New Year present for the art lovers and all those who watched the work of the Arbor Association, led by the culture manager Victoria Nagy Vajda.

Contacted by MOLDPRESA, Victoria Nagy Vajda said that Mark Verlan’s exhibition had been downloaded by Augmented Space Agency at the address https://www.theopen-art.com/exhibition, the only virtual gallery from Romania and Moldova (the VR exhibitions are accessible from computers and spectacles VR Oculus Quest). According to Vajda, accessible with VR spectacles or at a simple laptop, the virtual gallery provides a feeling of a ‘’walk’’ in halls of a gallery or a museum, and there is even possibility to approach and ‘’touch’’ the works exhibited.

Mark Verlan, self-called (with artist name) Son of Rain, is a non-conformist artist from Chisinau, who shows the post-Soviet changes and realities in a playful and sarcastic way. Born in 1963, in 2003, Mark Verlan participated in the exhibition Blut und Honig from The Essl Collection (Vienna). He took part in exhibitions in Austria, Germany, Italy, Moldova, the Netherlands, Romania, Sweden and the USA. In 2019 and 2020, he exhibited at the Possible Gallery in Bucharest and the Artep Gallery from Iasi, Romania.
