As many as 950 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 6 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,552 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 950 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 11 import ones. As many as 147,871 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 44 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –16, medical assistants –21 and auxiliary staff employees –7.

A number of 2,639 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 268 are in extremely serious condition (55 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 1,160 people have been treated. As many as 136,051 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 18 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,088 people have died of coronavirus in all.
