As many as 423 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 7 January /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 1,379 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 423 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 148,294 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 20 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –6, medical assistants –10 and auxiliary staff employees –4.

A number of 2,505 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 245 are in extremely serious condition (56 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 889 people have been treated. As many as 136,800 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

In the context, 5,018 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 24,467 are under supervision at the domicile.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 18 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,106 people have died of coronavirus in all.
