Municipal educational institutions ready to start second semester of studies

Chisinau, 11 January /MOLDPRES/- The health situation in the municipal educational institutions allows the schools and kindergartens in Chisinau to receive their pupils in classes.

Chisinau deputy mayor Angela Cutasevici said today at the online meeting of the municipal services that the pandemic situation in the municipal educational institutions allows the municipal schools and kindergartens to receive their pupils in classes. "Only 58 pupils in municipal educational institutions are hospitalized, another 260 pupils are in self-isolation. Out of the total number of teachers in Chisinau, only eight are unavailable to start the second semester of the school year, being in self-isolation. All schools are ready to start the second semester of studies ", she said.

At the same time, the official said that only four children hospitalized with coronavirus diagnosis were registered in kindergartens in Chisinau. "Out of the total number of preschool children, only 221 children are in self-isolation," Cutasevici said.

According to statistics of the Chisinau municipality, 92,863 pupils are registered in 148 municipal educational institutions.
