Shortage of doctors, police inspectors, teachers in Moldova

Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/- The National Agency for Employment announced that in early January 2021, 4,867 job vacancies were registered in the database.

According to the data, most vacancies are in Chisinau - 1549, followed by Balti - 905 jobs and Gagauzia - 76 jobs.

Most vacancies are for those with higher education and specialized education, 1,263 jobs are available, accounting for about 26% of the total number of vacancies.

The most requested are medical specialists, 340 jobs, of which 96 vacancies are for doctors and 133 for nurses, the rest for assistants.

At the same time, 281 jobs are proposed for inspectors and officers, 110 vacancies for education specialists, 108 positions for engineers and technicians. There are 61 vacancies on the labor market for specialists in financial, economic or commercial activity.

The most requested are workers in the textile and clothing industry, for whom 1,503 jobs are vacant. Transport and telecommunications workers (340), skilled workers in industrial enterprises (258), personal service workers (206) are also required.

In early 2020, employers were looking for about 12 thousand employees, the year ending with 5,933 vacancies.
