Gala of Annual Awards in culture sector, 2021 issue, nominates laureates in Moldova

Chisinau, 16 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Education, Culture and Research Ministry (MECC) on 15 January organized a festivity of awarding the laureates of the 2021 issue of the Gala of Annual Prizes in the culture sector, in the context of the National Culture Day.   

The prizes of MECC in the culture field are annually awarded for creation products and artistic innovations, which have a significant impact on the national and international cultural heritage, got the appreciation of the society and contributed to the promotion of the national culture internationally.  

Attending the event, Education, Culture and Research Minister Lilia Pogolsa said that the day of 15 January became an occasion to celebrate a great Creator, as well as a day of summing up an assiduous effort made by creative people during the year, of reflecting on culture, in general, and on the cultural achievements and projects of national importance.     

The prizes of the Education, Culture and Research Ministry in the culture sector have personal character and are awarded to each category separately to a single laureate and a laureate staff, if decision-makers find out a decisive involvement of more people in the elaboration/carrying out of a work/activity. The laureates are awarded also the Trophy, honorary diploma of MECC and a money reward worth 20,000 lei.     

The National Culture Day was established under the Government Decision No 74 from 12 April 2012 and its goal is to promote the national culture, the authentic cultural values, as well as the outstanding personalities of the culture sector. Celebrated in various countries under the aspect of diverse cultural forms and values, the National Culture Day in Moldova is dedicated to the great poet, Mihai Eminescu – an outstanding personality for the country’s culture.
