Chisinau, 21 January /MOLDPRES/- The 22 January Official Journal will publish the land improvement Program in order to ensure the sustainable management of soil resources for 2021-2025, and the Action Plan on its implementation for 2021-2023.
The program will be fully implemented in 2021-2025 and will be divided into stages of implementation, of three years and two years, respectively.
The first stage includes 2021-2023, which provides the following works of land improvement, protection, conservation and increase of soil fertility, carried out to: protect the soil against the mechanical action of water and wind (category that includes the complex of prevention and control works (control) of soil erosion); to restore (complete) the moisture deficit (category that includes land irrigation); to prevent or remove excess water from the soil, from its surface (category in which drainage and drainage fall); to restore the soils (category in which the construction and exploitation works of the hydrotechnical objects fall, the selective stripping works and the covering of the damaged or degraded lands, the works for the improvement of the alkaline and saline soils).
The action plan for 2024-2025 will be worked out later. The program is developed with the involvement of scientific and educational institutions and specialists in the field of land improvement and forestry.
The public authorities / institutions responsible for the implementation of the Program will present every six months to the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment (MADRM) a report on the degree of achievement of the indicators set in the Action Plan. The Ministry will present to the Government annually on 1 February the report on the implementation of the approved Action Plan. The control over the execution of the decision is entrusted to MADRM, and the decision enters into force tomorrow upon publication in the Official Journal of Moldova.
