ADR Nord, A. Russo university from Bălți to promote joint regional development actions

Chisinau, 22 January /MOLDPRES/- The North Regional Development Agency (ADR Nord) and the Alecu Russo State University of Bălți (USARB) signed a memorandum of cooperation yesterday. It provides for actions for the implementation and promotion of joint programs and activities, specific to regional development.

"We are glad that one of the best universities in Moldova is located in the Northern Development Region, in Balti, or, this memorandum is an opportunity we intend to turn to good account for the benefit of the inhabitants of our region. We want an even closer collaboration in the context of the future Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer, created within a project currently implemented by ADR Nord ", Agency director Maria Prisacari said.

USARB rector Natalia Gașițoi positively appreciated the results of the previous cooperation between the University of Bălți and ADR Nord, voicing confidence that the two institutions will successfully meet the new goals.

The collaboration so far between ADR Nord and USARB is marked by the organization of several regional and international conferences, round tables, symposia and study visits.

The activities that ADR Nord and the University A. Russo propose in the new memorandum of cooperation involve the conduct of joint research programs; elaboration and implementation of joint projects in research and innovation, good governance, regional development, technology transfer to national calls etc.

The new memorandum was concluded for a period of three years, with the possibility of extending it for another three years. ADR Nord and USARB signed a similar document in 2011.
