Information campaign on participation in traffic of vehicles from Transnistrian region starts in Moldova

Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/ - The competent institutions, starting from today, begin a campaign on informing residents from the Transnistrian region, who cross with their transport means the state border checkpoints of Moldova about the categories of registration plates and accompanying acts, due to be got/owned for participating in the international road traffic, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.    

This measure is meant to facilitate the carrying out of confidence building measures between the two banks of Dniester and to optimize the work of the points of vehicles’ registration from the Tiraspol and Rabnita cities, in order to enhance the dynamic of registration with plates and certificates of neutral model, as well as to comply with the exigencies of the national normative framework.    

The goal of the concerned information campaign consists in the collection and analysis of statistics data on the ground, notifying the drivers from the region about the rigours of the legislation in force and requirements of the international treaties Moldova is party to, with the subsequent approval of a consolidated institutional decision in this respect.  

Detailed information on the procedures and documents necessary to be presented at the crossing of Moldova’s state border by transport means will be provided to the territorial subdivisions of the Public Services Agency and the General Inspectorate of Border Police.
