Ambulance skids from highway in south Moldova

Chisinau, 27 January /MOLDPRES/ - An ambulance carrying a patient skid nearby the settlement Ciumai, southern Taraclia district. Rescuers intervened to de-block the special vehicle.

The incident took place today morning. According to information, because of the bad weather, the ambulance carrying a 98-year-old patient skid from highway while the crew was moving with the woman to hospital. The call to the 112 Service was received at 10:07. A crew of firemen intervened on the spot for towing works and in less than 10 minutes, they managed to de-block the vehicle, which continued its movement to the hospital.

In unfriendly weather conditions, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations urges drivers to move with maximal prudence and call the 112 Service in risk situations.
