South Regional Development Council elected new leadership

Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/- Members of the South Regional Development Council (CRD), convened in an extraordinary meeting late last week, elected a new leadership and approved several decisions for the evolution of regional development projects in the south of the country.

Thus, with the vote of the majority of members, CRD Sud elected Nicolae Gorban, head of Causeni district, as president, and Mihail Olărescu, head of Cimișlia district, as vice-president. According to the Regulation on the organization and functioning of the Regional Council for Southern Development, the president and vice-president of the structure exercise their mandate for a term of one year.

Another decision, adopted during the extraordinary meeting of CRD Sud, was regarding the submission to CNCDR of the proposal to include, in addition, in the financing plan for 2021, the project Rehabilitation of road infrastructure in the village of Antonești (Ştefan Vodă ) - increased opportunities for economic development for the southern part of the Republic of Moldova.

CRD is the deliberative regional structure, without legal personality, established at the level of the Southern Development Region in order to elaborate, coordinate and monitor the regional development policy in the south of the country, consisting of Basarabeasca, Cantemir, Cahul, Causeni, Cimișlia, Leova, Ștefan Vodă, Taraclia.
