DA Platform not to vote Natalia Gavrilita for Prime Minister position

Chisinau, 2 February /MOLDPRES/- The Dignity and Truth Platform took note of the proposal of the President to nominate Natalia Gavriliță, PAS Vice President, to the position of Prime Minister, as well as the PAS decision not to vote for candidacy and decided not to vote on a "candidacy for Prime Minister in a mimicked constitutional exercise ".

According to a statement of the party, the only relevant option seen by the Dignity and Truth Platform is the one provided by the Constitution. "The two attempts to form government within 45 days. In the perspective of snap polls, supported by most people, this option is the shortest and fair way to achieve this goal ", the document reads.

Previously, PAS MPs have announced they would not vote for Gavriliță, and the Socialist MPs said they would participate in the parliament meeting to debate composition and governing program of candidate Natalia Gavriliță, nominated by the president. The decision to vote or not to vote will be taken by the PSRM Political Executive after debates in plenary. The other factions and parliamentary groups have not announced whether or not they will vote for the nominee for prime minister.
