Agro-chemical laboratory from Comrat University to provide services to farmers from region

Chisinau, 2 February /MOLDPRES/ - The agro-chemical laboratory from the Comrat State University will provide services to farmers from the region, who will need chemical analyses of the soil.   

The laboratory will establish the ecological potential of the soil’s conditions, on certain sectors of cultivation of various agricultural crops. Thus, the land resources of the region will be used more efficiently, according to the website www.gagauzinfo.md.    

The Comrat University’s administration has recently had a meeting with representatives of a specialized association, during which an agreement of intent was signed. As a result, the laboratory will make a string of analysis on the chemical and biological content of soils, nutrients and humidity.  

The services provided will allow farmers to rationally use the chemical fertilizers, thus avoiding the pollution of the environment and enhancing the efficiency of the ways of growing agricultural crops.

In 2020, the agro-chemical laboratory of the Comrat University was modernized. Within the Ag-Lab project of the Erasmus+ Programme, the institution’s agrarian faculty benefited from needed equipment worth 400,000 lei.
