Moldovan speaker's message on International Day of Women in Science

Chisinau, 11 February /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Zinaida Greceanii today sent a congratulatory message on International Day of Women in Science, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

The message says:

"February 11 is the International Day of Women in Science. This special day was set up by the UN to encourage the involvement of women in research and development. Women in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology enrich the world of science.

On this occasion, I would like to draw attention that we have many ladies in Moldova, including in the parliament who have achieved outstanding results in science. Their example encourages young researchers to pursue a career in science, to get high qualifications and achieve the most prestigious professions.

In my opinion, the more women get involved in science, the more the country's economy and society will benefit. We, the state authorities, are committed to creating best conditions for them, enrich us scientifically and spiritually and help us change things for the better ”.
