Moldovan president receives letters of accrediutation on behalf of seven agree ambassadors

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today received the accreditation letters on behalf of seven agree ambassadors at an official ceremony, the presidential press service has reported.  

Thus, the following diplomats presented the letters of accreditation: Bucharest-based Ambassador of the Federal republic of Ethiopia Alemayehu Tegenu; Bucharest-based Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Zafar Iqbal;  Kiev-based Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Brazil Norton de Andrade Mello Rapesta; Bucharest-based Ambassador of India Rahul Shrivastava; Moscow-based Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Meegahalande Durage Lamawansa; Bucharest-based Ambassador of Canada Annick Goulet; Warsaw-based Ambassador of Bangladesh Daud Ali.       

President Maia Sandu exchanged opinions with each of these ambassadors and tackled subjects on developing the political, economic and cultural cooperation, as well as the opportunity of turning to account the present potential in all sectors of common interest. ‘’We are interested especially in the way other countries manage the social and economic impact of the pandemic crisis,’’ President Maia Sandu said at the meetings.  

The diplomats informed the head of state about the present situation in the countries they represent, enumerated the priorities of their mandates in relation with Moldova and showed determination to contribute to the boosting of the dialogue with Moldova’s authorities and the encouraging of the bilateral trade exchanges.   

The president conveyed sincere congratulations to all officials on their accreditation as ambassadors to Moldova and wished them success in their diplomatic mandate. She voiced confidence that the goals set would be achieved successfully. Maia Sandu assured the ambassadors that the Presidency was open for fostering the bilateral relations for the citizens’ benefit.
