Gymnasium from south-east Moldova district capitally repaired with support of USAID

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/ - The gymnasium from the Festelita village, south-eastern Stefan Voda district, has been capitally repaired with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), through the My Community Programme, implemented by the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX).

Presently, the My Community Programme backs 77 mayoralties of settlements from all over Moldova, which benefit from trainings and technical assistance, in order to be able to improve the public services, actively involve citizens in the local governance and implement instruments of increase of local incomes.

„My Community is a programme financed by the government of the United States/USAID and implemented by IREX, the goal of which is to support over 100 mayoralties from Moldova to ensure more efficient governance. At the same time, the mayoralties benefit from grants worth 60,000 dollars for the implementation of projects on improving the infrastructure and the local public services, such as the restoration of schools and kindergartens, roads and sidewalks, setting of street public illumination networks, etc.
