Decision-makers set goals of promoting ngreen economy in Moldova in 2021

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/ - The participants in a meeting of the inter-ministerial working group for the promotion of the sustainable development of the green economy in Moldova today considered key components dedicated to the promotion of the values of economic development in harmony with the environment, integration of green principles in all sectors.   

At the meeting, a state secretary at the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry (MADRM), co-head of the working group Dorin Andros, conveyed a congratulatory message of the partners, who laid the foundations of the promotion of the green economy in Moldova, in the context of the five years of the work of this group.  

The inter-ministerial working group for the promotion of the sustainable development and green economy/National Committee on Implementation for EU4Environment took place within the European Union Action for Environment/EU4Environment. Due to the European Union’s support, the inter-ministerial working group for the promotion of the sustainable development and green economy marked five years of work in 2020 (2015-2020).   

EU4Environment regional project provides assistance to the Eastern Partnership countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, for the sustainable use of the natural capital, improving the environment’s quality and the population’s well-being, as well as stimulation of economic growth. The project is implemented on the period 2019-2022 and has an overall budget of about 20 million euros for six countries and five implementation institutions.
