Chisinau city hall wants to review components of revenue formation of municipal budget

Chisinau, 15 February /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall will address parliament as legislators to change the way of distributing the money collected in the city, so that a larger part of the taxes will be earmarked in the municipal budget.

Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban said at today's online meeting of municipal services that taxes collected from businesses operating in the municipality do not remain in the municipal budget, they are transferred to the state budget. “The municipal budget is fed by about 25% of the taxes paid in Chisinau. The local public administration will address the Parliament to change the way this money is distributed. We want a larger amount to be allocated in the municipal budget ", he said.

He noted he had recently approached the issue with representatives of the Finance Ministry. He asked the ministry to review components of revenue formation to the municipal budget, in particular, the possibility of partial inclusion of the income tax accumulated from legal entities, so that the respective sources can be managed by the Chisinau city hall.
