Cultural events to be allowed in presence of limited number of spectators

Chisinau, 16 February /MOLDPRES/- The National Commission for Public Health (CNESP) agreed yesterday on the development of cultural activities with the presence of a limited number of spectators.

"It is allowed to carry out activities with the presence of spectators, inside the theater-concert institutions and houses of culture at a capacity of 50% of the number of seats, but not more than 250 spectators for halls with a capacity of more than 500 seats," the decision reads.

At the same time, Decision No45 of 15 February 2021 of the National Public Health Commission left in force the observance of the provisions of the Instruction on measures for prevention and control of COVID-19 infection, applied to organizing cultural events / actions inside theater-concert institutions and houses of culture, approved by Decision No31 of 24 September 2020 of CNESP.

At the same time, the commission members prohibited the activities, with the presence of spectators, inside cinemas.

The 15 February CNESP decisions were due that recently the number of COVID-19 cases increased by 17.9%. In the last 14 days, the Orange Code is registered in Cahul, Căușeni, Dondușeni, Fălești, Rezina, Râșcani, Soroca, Ștefan Vodă, Ungheni and in the other 29 settlements - the Red Alert Code.
