Prosecutors make raid at Moldova's National Administratrion Penitentiaries

Chisinau, 19 February /MOLDPRES/ - Prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Causes (PCCOCS) have made searches in more offices of the National Administration of Penitentiaries (ANP).

The PCCOCS press officer, Emil Gaitur, confirmed the information for MOLDPRES. He said that the reason for the searches dealt with the prosecution of one of the ANP deputies suspected of abuse of office in the interest of a criminal organization; this file is different from the one investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office of the Chisinau city on the subject of swindles with bank cards in the Penitentiary No 18 Branesti.

Documents, devices for stocking information and other objects which are relevant for investigation were raised today.
