Almost 1.4 million Moldovan citizens have expired passports

Chisinau, 3 March /MOLDPRES/- About 1.4 million citizens would have to renew their passports in 2021, the reason being the expiration of the validity period. More than 366,000 passports of Moldovan citizens will expire this year, the Public Services Agency (ASP) has reported.

The Agency has all the institutional and operational capacities necessary to complete the acts of all citizens. At the same time, considering the pandemic situation, as well as in order to avoid congestion and queues in the institution's headquarters, the Public Services Agency comes with the recommendation to the citizens to make sure in time to obtain the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova.

"Moldovan citizens have the right to hold two valid passports at the same time. The application for the issuance of identity documents can be submitted in any multifunctional Center, regardless of the registration at home or the residence of the applicant ", ASP said.

The term for completing the identity documents can vary from 30 days to 24 hours. In order to obtain identity documents, applicants can apply to all the multifunctional centers in the country.

Pre-appointment is made through the official ASP website www.asp.gov.md or through the Call Center at the telephone number 14909.
