Researchers from Moldova, Turkey exchanged experience in agriculture

Chisinau, 3 March /MOLDPRES/- The best results in scientific projects and the possibilities of strengthening cooperation in agriculture were examined yesterday by scientific researchers from Moldova and Turkey in an information and experience exchange session.

According to Mihail Machidon, State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment (MADRM), bilateral relations of cooperation in agriculture, agricultural education, regional development and environmental protection have been strengthened over time and aim to continue to ensure sustainability.

"This meeting is a communication platform that will facilitate closer collaboration between academia in the Republic of Moldova and Turkey. Capacity building in the field remains a priority in our agenda of activities and we rely on the openness of the Turkish side for extended collaboration on the implementation of rural development projects in the field of animal husbandry, forestry and hunting. We also rely on the support of Turkish partners in creating joint Moldovan-Turkish enterprises for the production of vegetables, "said the official.

The Moldovan-Turkish cooperation session in agriculture was organized on the basis of consultations held during the third meeting of the Committee on Agricultural Supervision between MADRM and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey, held on 24 November 2020.
