Chisinau, 5 March /MOLDPRES/- The 5 March Official Journal published the Regulation on requesting and granting one-off allowance for medical staff died in the fight with COVID-19.

According to the government decision, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection and the competent public authorities, jointly with the public medical institutions will ensure offering one-off allowance for deceased staff in the fight with COVID-19, according to the approved Regulation.

The document sees the amount of the benefit - one hundred thousand lei, and it can be offered either to the surviving spouse, or to children up to the age of 18 or, if he continues his studies, up to 23 years, or even to one of the parents, if there are no descendants from the first two categories.

The control over the execution of the decision is entrusted to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, to the competent public authorities and to the public medical institutions.

This decision entered into force today with its publication in the Official Journal of Moldova.
