Metropolitan issued new recommendations for churches in Moldova given increasing cases of COVID-19

Chisinau, 5 March /MOLDPRES/- Metropolitan Church of Chisinau has issued new recommendations on performance of services, in the context of special activity regime by the National Commission for Public Health, caused by the COVID-19 virus.

Thus, the services of the liturgical cycle will be carried out in compliance with the following conditions related to public health: the mandatory wearing of protective masks, the observance of social distance. In this regard, the places of worship will be open daily to the faithful throughout the week, so that the priests can respond to all requests. This will avoid the crowds of believers at the services on Saturday and Sunday.

"These steps are aimed at protecting our own health and the health of those around us. Life and health are gifts from God and we have the duty to defend and cultivate them with permanent responsibility ", it is also said in the Metropolitan's communiqué.
