Moldovan sculptor says activity in workshop creates state of spirit

Chisinau, 5 March /MOLDPRES/ -Fine artist Ioan Grecu has lately made more sculpture works. He says that the activity in workshop, especially in these complicated times, creates him a state of spirit.
Presently, sculptor Ioan Grecu works on a bronze portrait of writer Emilian Galaicu-Paun. He also gives online courses to pupils from the Alexandru Plamadeala.
Ioan Grecu was born in the Recea village, northern Rascani district, on 10 July 1968. He finished the School of Fine Arts for Children from Rascani, Ion Creanga State Pedagogical University (1985-1990), specialty of painting and graphic, as well as the Academy of Visual Arts from Cluj-Napoca (Romania), sculpture specialty, the class of professor Nikolaus Otto Kruch (1990-1994). In 1991, Grecu debuted with the sculpture, The Dance of Forgetting. 27 March 2018, at a student exhibition from Cluj-Napoca. Since 2003 till present, Ioan Grecu has worked as teacher of sculpture at the Alexandru Plamadeala Republican College of Fine Arts. Starting from 1993, Grecu has organized diverse personal exhibitions in Moldova and abroad.
