Chisinau likely to become European Youth Capital 2024

Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau has been included in the list of the four candidate cities for the title of European Youth Capital 2024.

The decision will be taken by the European Youth Forum, which will assess progress in youth employment and the development of youth policy and youth participation locally.

As in previous years, the title of European Youth Capital 2024 will encourage the implementation of the Council of Europe Charter on local and regional youth participation through innovative ideas and projects.

The title European Youth Capital is awarded by the European Youth Forum to a European municipality for a period of one year, during which time it is given the chance to express cultural, social, political and economic life of young people.

The title encourages municipalities to continue and expand the implementation of youth participation projects and to encourage the active presence of the category of citizens in society.
