9,341 people vaccinated against new coronavirus in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/- So far, 9,341 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine have been administered in Moldova and 303 mild adverse reactions have been reported, which pose no danger to life and health of those vaccinated.

In the context of the temporary suspension of the vaccination process with the AstraZeneca ABV 2856 in Romania, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection announces that vaccines from this batch are not used in Moldova.

21,600 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine received as a donation from Romania are part of the AstraZeneca ABV 6096 batch.

Immunization specialists and authorities responsible for managing the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 in Moldova monitor the campaign and thoroughly analyze each post-immunization adverse event.

So far, over 200 thousand cases of COVID-19 infection have been registered in Moldova.
