Moldovan Socialists announce creation of new parliamentary majority

Chisinau, 18 March /MOLDPRES/- At the beginning of today's plenary session, the leader of the Socialist Party (PSRM) faction, Corneliu Furculița, read a document on creation of a new parliamentary majority and announced he was inviting Maia Sandu to consultations.
Furculiță did not announce how many MPs are part of the new parliamentary majority and did not say who will be the candidate they will nominate for the position of prime minister. He called the president for consultations. He said that the meeting could take place today at 12:00.
On 16 March President Maia Sandu initiated consultations with the parliamentary factions, following which she nominated Igor Grosu for Prime Minister.
