Deadline for dwellings' privatization extended till 31 May 2024 in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 March /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today approved a draft on the amendment of the law on dwellings in the second reading.

The draft on the amendment of the law on dwellings was submitted by a group of MPs of the Dignity and Truth Platform. The lawmakers say that the document was worked out at a request by more citizens, who have right to dwellings’ privatization; yet, for various reasons, they are unable to exercise this right till 31 May 2021, just as the law in force stipulates.

Thus, the parliament ruled that the people living in the dwellings liable to privatization, under the law on the privatization of dwellings’ fund, will get right to turn them private till 31 May 2024, having obligation to register the title in the way established under the law on the cadaster of real estate.
