UEFA says Moldovan supporters among most disciplined in Europe

Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan supporters are among the most disciplined ones in Europe.
In a ranking made by UEFA, dedicated to the bahaviour of supporters in stadiums for the 2019/2020 season, Moldova ranked third with a fair-play score of 8.857. Luxembourg and Malta are on the first and second positions, with 9 and respectively, 8.875 points.
The research includes the behavior of supporters from 51 countries and is based on the results achieved at all matches of the UEFA competitions, played both between clubs and between national teams, on the period 1 July 2019 – 30 June 2020. Only the football associations which played at least 34 matches were taken into account. Moldova hosted 51 matches under the UEFA aegis on this period.
In the general ranking, Norway is on the first position with 8.482 points, followed by Estonia with 8.452 points and Finland with 8.376 points. Moldova was on the 31st position in the general ranking.
In line with the provisions of the paragraph 12.01 of the Fair-Play Regulation, the winning associations from each of the three categories will receive 50,000 euros each, to be donated to the clubs of amateurs or professional clubs, at will, for fair-play or social projects.
