Chisinau, 22 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Constitutional Court (CCM) today turned down a notification by MPs of the Party of Socialists, according to which they were appealing the constitutionality of the decree on the appointment of Igor Grosu as candidate for the office of prime minister.

Following three hours of discussions, the High Court’s judges rejected the notification by the Socialist lawmakers and declared the decree of President Maia Sandu constitutional.

According to CCM President Domnica Manole, judge Vladimir Turcan had a different legal opinion from the one of the majority of the magistrates.
