Chisinau, 27 March /MOLDPRES/- The National Museum of Literature Mihail Kogălniceanu staged online exhibition -Writers of the Union Chronicle: Vasile Alecsandri and Mihail Kogălniceanu.

Writer Maria Șleahtițchi, PhD in philology, director of the institution, said that the event is the first online opening of an exhibition in the great hall of the museum, Gheorghe Cincilei hall.

The event has a double meaning: it is dedicated to two writers, Vasile Alecsandri and Mihail Kogălniceanu, who contributed fundamentally to the achievement of the Union of Principalities from 1859, and the exhibitions are resumed in this space that was renovated for three months.

Writer Vasile Malanețchi said that it is focused on two basic thematic components and highlights an important part of the most precious pieces of heritage that the institution has.

The exhibition also presents copies available from many other academic or popular editions that have appeared over the years on both sides of the Prut, for various categories of readers. The other category of exhibits belongs to the works of fine arts that were dedicated to them or were inspired by the really fascinating personalities of Vasile Alecsandri and Mihail Kogălniceanu.

The exhibition will be open until 1 July 2021.
