Romania donated new batch of anti-Covid-19 vaccine to Moldova

Chisinau, 27 March /MOLDPRES/- Romania today donated a new batch of anti-Covid-19 vaccine, 50,400 doses, to Moldova. It will allow the vaccination process to be continued and speed up, so as to protect the lives of as many citizens as possible, the presidential press service has reported.

President Maia Sandu thanked President of Romania Klaus Iohannis and Prime Minister Florin Cîțu for this generous and unconditional support.

"Today, when we mark the union of Bessarabia with Romania, we can confidently say that more and more bridges are being built between the Republic of Moldova and Romania for the benefit of people. It connects us to Romania, not only the culture, the Romanian language, the past, it connects us to an ever closer collaboration and friendship for a better future ”, the head of state said.

Sandu said that each batch of vaccine received by Moldova means for our country the hope that we will stop the pandemic and that we are approaching the day when we can return to normality. "Countries with high vaccination rates have managed to reduce the number of seriously ill people and deaths. This is what I want for Moldova as well ", Maia Sandu said.
