Chisinau, 29 March /MOLDPRES/ - A green line for COVID-19 medical assistance was activated in the Chisinau municipality as of today. People facing difficult situations, triggered by the coronavirus pandemic, can ask for assistance at the phone number 0800 00080.

The green line of the social assistance and health general department was activated to optimize the communication in the pandemic crisis situation and provide information support to the residents from the Chisinau city as to the medical assistance in suspect or confirmed COVID-19 cases.

At a today’s online meeting of the city hall’s services, the Moldovan capital’s mayor, Ion Ceban, said that it was important for the city’s residents to be able to communicate with specialists to receive answers to questions, in the situation when the family physicians work in alert regime on this period and do not manage to answer by phone.

„It is important that family physicians inform patients with light coronavirus forms, who are treated at home, on how they should access the municipal monitoring system (Chisinau COVID-19 Register – JIRA Platform), in order to communicate through this application about the symptoms they have every day. The information is systematized and if changes appear in the health condition, the family physician returns to the patient with a call,’’ Ceban said.

Presently, 1,324 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in municipal hospitals, of whom 60 patients are in quite serious condition, 652 patients are in serious condition, 590 are in medium seriousness condition and 22 ones are with light forms of coronavirus.
