Moldovan poet's view on 2020 year

Chisinau, 30 March /MOLDPRES/- Poet Petre Popa, director of Veniamin Apostol Theater in Soroca, has recently published three books of poetry and made repairs to the institution he runs. "Something global had to happen in order to observe the man next to us, to reevaluate the scale of values," he said.

Petre Popa said that for Soroca theater, the pandemic period did not mean inactivity. Thus, works were arranged for the arrangement of the spaces, technical works related to the ventilation system, electricity, sound system.

This is the only project theater in the Republic of Moldova.

Literally, the writer said, the year 2020 and the beginning of 2021 were with good signs. He published three volumes of poetry.

He wrote lyrics for 150 songs. In 2000, he was awarded the Star of Romania Order with the rank of officer. He is an honorary citizen of Soroca. Winner of several literary awards.
