Chisinau remains under increased epidemiological alert

Chisinau, 5 April /MOLDPRES/- About 1,200 patients are hospitalized in COVID hospitals in Chisinau and over 400 beds are free. The capital remains under epidemiological alert. The head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health, Tatiana Bucearschi, made the statement today.

Number of people treated for COVID-19 is increasing, and the number of deaths is still growing. So far, 101879 cases of COVID-19 and 1439 deaths have been registered in the municipality.

Currently, 1,263 patients are hospitalized in the medical institutions in the municipality, out of which 59 are in a very serious condition, 558 in a serious condition and 662 in an average condition. 64 patients hospitalized in Chisinau were brought from several districts.

Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban said that so far, 622 teachers from Chisinau have been vaccinated, and the number of employees in the medical system who have been immunized reaches 75 percent.
