Chisinau, 6 April /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today met Ambassador of Poland to Moldova Bartłomiej Zdaniuk. The discussion was focused on the political and sanitary situation in the two countries, economic cooperation and projects carried out at the level of local public authorities, as well as the carrying out of the vaccination process, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state informed the Polish ambassador about a letter sent to the Warsaw leadership in late last March. Through this approach, the presidential institution asked Poland to help Moldova get vaccine, either in form of donation and by purchasing it.

In the context, Maia Sandu thanked Bartłomiej Zdaniuk, on behalf of all Moldova’s citizens, for the solidarity proved by Poland since the beginning of the pandemic and for the assistance provided both at the bilateral level and within the Team Europe initiative of the European Union.
