Commission for Emergencies extended VAT refund program by 31 May

Chisinau, 9 April /MOLDPRES/- The Value Added Tax (VAT) reimbursement program was extended for January-May 2021, according to yesterday's Instruction of the Commission for Emergencies (CSE) of Moldova.

The program will be valid provided that the amount of the VAT refund will be the minimum amount between the following amounts: the amount of VAT for deduction in the subsequent period, registered for the last fiscal period regarding VAT; the amount paid of the income tax, of the compulsory state social insurance contributions due by the employer, of the compulsory health insurance premiums in the form of a percentage contribution due by the employee for the fiscal period and / or the fiscal periods corresponding to the period January-May 2021.

The VAT refund program will be carried out under the provisions of the Law on establishing measures to support entrepreneurial activity and amending some normative acts and the Order of the Ministry of Finance on approving the Regulation on VAT refunds of enterprises that are registered as VAT taxpayers and shall record VAT amounts for deduction in the subsequent period, in so far as it does not contravene this provision, except for the affected agricultural producers.
