As many as 910 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 9 April /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,799 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 910 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which two import ones. As many as 240,056 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 11 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 2, medical assistants –6 and auxiliary staff -3.

As many as 3,670 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 316 are in extremely serious condition (55 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 8,285 persons are treated at home with easy and moderate forms of coronavirus and 19,130 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,153 people have been treated. As many as 220,881 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 32 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,339 people have died of coronavirus in all. The virus also killed the director of the Centre of Family Physicians from Briceni. As many as 110 medial employees have died because of the coronavirus infection till present.
