Moldovan parliament speaker summons operative meeting on management of pandemic situation

Chisinau, 12 April /MOLDPRES/ - The management of the pandemic situation today was discussed at an operative meeting summoned by Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii, with the participation of the members of the acting cabinet, led by acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi, the parliament’s communication and public relations general department has reported.  

The government’s representatives provided information on the pandemic evolution, in the context of the measures established by the declaring of the emergency state.   

The participants in the meeting pointed out a diminution in the number of cases of infections with Covid-19 and importance of maintaining the restrictive measures, in order to further ensure the control over the situation in the public health sector.    

They also discussed the subject on the supply of the medical system with vaccines.

In particular, the participants in the meeting stressed the need of the urgent vaccination of teachers, who have not been immunized as yet, so that the pupils of the primary school can return to education in classrooms, with physical presence, as soon as possible.   

Also, they considered the actions for backing the social and economic sphere, including through the promotion by the MPs from various factions of more draft laws meant to attenuate the impact of the crisis and which needs the support of the acting government for implementation.
