Chisinau, 13 April /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi today chaired a meeting of the single command centre of the emergency state. The participants in the event heard reports of the institutions in charge of the management of the pandemic situation, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

A number of 544 new cases of infection with Covid out of the 4,352 tests carried out were registered today. At the same time, 1,214 citizens have been treated of Sars-Cov-2 and 11,890 active cases remain in continuation. At the same time, the infection rate continues to be high; the average for the last 14 days shows 423 Covid cases per 100,000 residents. Unfortunately, 29 people died.

Presently, 3,345 people infected with Covid are put in hospitals in all.

At a news briefing, the acting PM specified that nine people out of those positively tested belonged to the auxiliary staff of the healthcare system. ‘’According to the colleagues of the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), the fact that there already no physicians tested positive for Covid might be due to the vaccination. As you see, the vaccine is nevertheless doing its job, at least among the medical employees,’’ Aureliu Ciocoi noted.

As many as 70,229 people have been vaccinated so far. The acting prime minister said that the authorities were still at the first phase of vaccination. ‘’There is still a certain resistance. Not everybody wants to vaccinate with the vaccine suggested. Namely for this reason, this slow tendency is registered. I am more than sure that, when we reach the third stage of vaccination and we largely open the doors for the general vaccination of the population, we will quite quickly go with the vaccination of our citizens,’’ the acting PM said.

At the same time, 1,551 people have been already revaccinated.

The Interior Ministry (MAI) confirms that it maintains a strength of 10,000 employees daily on duty, assisted, on average, by over 100 servicemen. A number of 10,292 people, who entered Moldova without the negative test for Covid, were verified in self-isolation. Almost 70,000 citizens have entered Moldova since 1 April till present. Law-enforcers found out 122 forged tests for Covid. MAI specialists investigate a whole network which provides the negative test against payment.

As many as 15,945 enterprises, 3,070 transport units were monitored and 1,385 churches were verified, which, in general, observed the sanitary norms, organizing services in open air. Civil suits were compiled against 2,097 private people and 2,174 legal entities, of which six economic agents, one manager of a fuel supply station and four managers of public administration units, for the infringement of sanitary end epidemiological norms. During the martial hour, as of 23:00 till 5:00, 67 civil suits were brought on the last days for the violation of the regime, preponderantly on Fridays and Saturdays.

At the same time, the National Public Health Agency carried out 27 unforeseen controls and found out 5 non-compliances, of which three private medical institutions and two pre-school institutions.

Fines worth 4.5 million lei were imposed in all for the non-observance of the sanitary and epidemiological norms imposed on the period of the emergency state.
