Moldovan tax body relaunched interest subsidy, VAT refund programs

Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/- The State Tax Service (SFS) informed that the Programs for subsidizing interest on loans, as well as the VAT refund program have been relaunched under the execution of the Instruction of the Commission for Emergencies No2 of 8 April 2021.

According to the SFS, the beneficiaries of the Interest Subsidy Program for January-May 2021 are the enterprises that meet the following conditions: contracted loans between 1 May 2020 - 31 May 2021 inclusive; the revenues declared in the fiscal reports, ascertained according to the financial accounting data for the fiscal period 2020 are lower than those obtained and declared for the fiscal period 2019.

The maximum value of the credits, in relation to which the right to subsidy can be carried out is the cumulative amount of the salary payments declared by the beneficiaries to the SFS for September 2019 - February 2020.

Also, the VAT Reimbursement Program was extended for January-May 2021, for applicants other than agricultural producers affected by natural disasters, for which the reimbursement period was extended for January-September 2021, by Order of the Ministry of Finance.

At the same time, the total amount of VAT refund during the VAT Refund Program will not exceed the amount of VAT for the subsequent period, reflected in the VAT return for the fiscal period December 2020.
