51,500 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine distributed to Moldovan medical institutions

Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/- 51,500 doses of vaccine against COVID-19 AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), from the batch of vaccine received on the COVAX platform and from humanitarian aid provided by Romania were distributed today to public health institutions to ensure the continuation of the vaccination process at national level.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the doses will continue to vaccinate medical staff, as well as beneficiaries of asylums and temporary and long-term placement centers, adults over 60 years and those who have comorbidities, education workers, employees of public order and security structures, including embassies, central and local public institutions, social service staff.

So far, 96,372 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered and 10,241 people have been vaccinated with both doses.
