As many as 453 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,077 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 453 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which one import case. As many as 246,691 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 8 out of all cases are medical employees: medical assistants –4, auxiliary staff - 4.

As many as 2,728 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 262 are in extremely serious condition (50 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 4,432 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,971 are under supervision at home.

Another 953 people have been treated. As many as 233,281 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 25 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,616 people have died of coronavirus in all.
