Moldovan head of state discusses with President of Poland

Chisinau, 21 April /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a phone conversation with President of Poland Andrzej Duda. The head of state thanked for the financial assistance and continuous support provided to Moldova both for development and in the fight against the pandemic, the presidential press service has reported.
The officials discussed the political developments in Moldova, the impact of Covid-19 on the economy and importance of an efficient plan on economic recovery. ‘’In the context of the evolutions in the region, I stressed that Moldova needs a peaceful and stable climate, in order to be able to implement the reforms necessary for our social and economic development,’’ Maia Sandu noted.
The Moldovan official said that Poland was a supporter of Moldova in Brussels. Sandu voiced hope as to the deepening of the cooperation between the two countries both within the Eastern Partnership and at the bilateral level.
„We referred to the opportunities of cooperation as regards the future regional projects and we agreed on continuing discussions in the local public administration sector. We can do more things for our citizens together. We established with Mr. President Duda to see each other as soon as possible, after the more difficult period of the pandemic is over,’’ the head of state added.
